Monkey Madness 2 is only a few short days away from arriving at Old School Runescape. The quest has a large amount of hype surrounding it and has been labled as OSRS’s only Grand Master quest, the highest quest difficulty this version of RuneScape has seen.
The requirements for starting/completing Monkey Madness 2 are shown in the picture to the left. It has also been revealed that having a friend do the quest along side you may turn out to be beneficial and make it easier, however having a friend by your side isn’t a requirement and the quest is still do-able on your own.
Another requirement that isn’t shown on this graphic is after completing Enlightened Journey, players must unlock the hot air balloon travel to the Gnome Stronghold which requires 60 fire making and 3 magic logs.
According to both this graphic and the developers, having high thieving and agility levels can help a lot during the quest.
Almost nothing is known about the contents of the quest itself, however there has been a lot of reveals. There are many new pieces of content players unlock after completing this new oldschool quest. Some of these things are light and heavy Ballistas which use javelins as ammunition, new cosmetic rewards (one of which is a monkey can clings to your back) and a brand new Zenyte jewellery set which has some new best in slot items.

Once enchanted the zenyte necklace becomes the Necklace of Anguish. The Necklace of Anguish is a best-in-slot ranged item which also offers Ranged strength, unlike most ranging equipment in the game.
